DECIDING ON A TOUR

How physically active are your tours?
For trips to the Jungle – tours are not very active, we walk slowly around 3 Km. per day and mostly by flat trails, because we mostly use the car the first day and mostly boats.
For hiking tours – We definitely need to be in very good physical conditions to go hiking up by the top of the Andes.

Is there any age restriction for the tour members?
Yes. Minimum four years old and there is not maximum limit age for jungle tours
For trekking tours everyone who is in good physical conditions.

When is the best time to go to the Jungle?
Actually, we can visit all year, but the best activity of animals is from April to November

Which days are your departures?
We leave any day of the year with any tours, because we mostly take private tours and our clients can choose the departure date.

Do I get to talk with my guide before my departure?
Yes, for any tour your guide will visit to you at your Hotel a day before in order you to know everything about the tours.

How do we pay?
You can pay on line or cash; most of our guests make a deposit of USD $ 100 per person for any tour and pay the rest once you are here in Peru. If not, you can pay all with visa card too.

Do we need yellow fever vaccination?
Yes. You need yellow fever vaccination especially for jungle tours.

Can we modify the tours?
Yes. You can modify the tours before you start any tour. Endemic Peru will be able to arrange and modify on your convenience the tours that they are offering.

Do we have signal communication from the Jungle?
Yes. We have signal phone every day except in Casa Matziguenka because is only by radio.

What is the maximum number of people in a group?
Nine people maximum for a group to the Jungle and private groups for trek tours such as groups of students from the universities from different countries.

Do you have vegetarian/allergic option for clients?
Yes. Our cooks make delicious vegetarian dishes.

Can we take swimming cloths to the jungle tour?
Yes. It is optional. Talk to your guide at briefing time.

What travel documents are required?

What details do I need to confirm my tour to the Jungle?
Once you confirm your tour, you will need to fill out the “guest book” which is a file that Endemic Peru will send to you in order to know some important details about you.
LUGGAGE

How much weight can we take?
If you have flights in your tours especially to the rainforest, you will need to take only 23 kilograms maximum. We recommend you to take the necessary stuff you will need when you go to the jungle because of the humidity, so the other part of your luggage you can leave it in Cusco.
For trekking tours, we use the same system we mentioned before.
MONEY MATTERS

How much money will I spend in the tours?
For tours around Cuzco it will be easier to get money in cash especially from the ATM. So, consider that Endemic Peru includes lodging and food even mineral water in the tours, although you have to take around 300 Soles in case you would like to spend in alcoholic drinks or any other things such as souvenirs.

Are tips covered in my tour cost?
Not. Endemic Peru does not include tips in the tours, however our staff knows that they may get or not get some tips from our guests depending on the services they offer.

What type of currency will I use on my tour?
American Dollars and Soles (Peruvian currency)

Where do we start our tours?
We start from Cusco since we start to pick you up from your hotel and we finish when we leave you at your hotel too.

Can we recharge our batteries in the Jungle?
Yes. You can recharge your batteries in the lodge in Manu; your guide will give you more details about that one day before your tour at your briefing day.
LODGING

How are the services of the lodges?
The services will depend on the lodges we take in Manu. All of them offer beds with blankets; mosquito nets; private/ shared toilets and showers.
ABOUT MEALS
We take a cook in the whole trip to the jungle and treks, Therefore, the cook will provide us all the meals every day even in the lodges.
