Birding Manu Road 6 Days

Manu Road is one of the most famous birding destination in Peru, this is the place where we will stay three nights spotting birds among Trogons, Quetzals, Motmots, Tapaculos, Wrens, Hummingbirds, Antpittas, flycatchers, spinetails, mixed flocks of Tanagers and woodcreepers and more.

Day 01 Cusco – Wayquecha Biological Station

• Pick you up from your Hotel
• Birding in Huacarpay Lake (10 000 feet high)
• Lunch
• Birding in Acjanaco Pass (12 470 feet high)
• Birding on the way to Wayquecha BS. (We stay here)
• Dinner

Day 02 Wayquecha BS – Canopy walk and trails

• Break fast
• Birding to the canopy walk
• Birding on Manu Road and trails
• Lunch
• Birding on Manu Road
• Dinner

Day 03 Wayquecha BS – Manu Paradise Lodge

• Break fast
• Birding Manu Road Cloud Forest
• Birding at San Pedro (Manu Road)
• Lunch
• Birding on Manu Road (4 800 feet high)
• Birding trails in Manu
• Cock of the Rock Lek
• Dinner

Day 04 Manu Paradise Lodge – Bambu Lodge

• Break fast
• Birding around Lodge (4 800 feet high)
• Birding on the road to the lowlands (still in cloud forest)
• Box lunch
• Birding on Manu Road (2 150 feet high)
• Birding around Bambu lodge
• Dinner

Day 05 Bambu lodge – Machuwasi Lagoon

• Break fast
• Birding on Manu Road at 2 000 feet high
• Birding on the way to Atalaya and Salvacion village
• Lunch
• Birding in Machuwasi Lagoon (focused on Hoatzin)
• Birding in the trails around the Lagoon
• Back to Bambu Lodge

Day 06 Bambu Lodge – Cuzco

• Break fast
• Leaving to Cusco
• Birding on the way back
• Lunch on the Manu Road
• Birding on the way back
• Back to your hotel in Cuzco.
